Nebo u vodi / Sky in the Water

Back to Reality

Sometime in the April of 1979 D.R.Phantom was released from Yugoslav People's Army and stepped again into the world of freedom. It would be a great injustice to say he didn't have anything to do with music while he was cut off from "the real world" (for about 14 months). From time to time, he joined the band that entertained army officers and their ladies at the Army Club. Yet, for the sake of truth, he wasn't delighted too much for being part of it for the playing of songs from the West wasn't welcome.
(If a song, which musicians were in favor of playing was originated in one of the Western countries, music was allowed - but singing in English strictly forbidden!)

Thus, being again set loose, he came back to Bela Crkva full of hope.

But, life is not the smooth sailing. Having consulted Mr. Bicady and Stanojlovic, with great sadness, D.R. Phantom realized numerous things had changed in his absence. The mentioned gentlemen had decided to ride on projects of their own.

(By the way, they have kept the same idea until recently producing no music whatever.)

However, occasionally, the tree of them played together. Mr. Stanojlovic succeeded in making a good copy of Gilmor's guitar solo of the famous Pink Floyd's song "Shine on You Crazy Diamond." It impressed audience greatly. Also, local communists leaders of former Yugoslavia engaged the band frequently for the purpose of decorating  their anniversaries. They had a foresighted explanation of doing that, "We should care about what youngsters like! At the end of the day, they are to be the future (communists) of this country!"
